Step One: The Brief — What You Actually Carry
Before any leather gets cut, I need to know what the piece has to survive. For a belt, it's the width your trousers accept and how much give you want. For a crossbody bag, it's what you haul daily — a laptop, a camera, a kid's snack stash.

Step Two: Design and Quote — No Surprises, No Upcharges Hidden
You get a flat quote before I touch leather. The price is "from" because the final number depends on leather choice and add-ons. Premium leather adds $20. A custom color runs $8. The Raven stamp is free; if you want it omitted, that's $10. If you want me to pick something weird from my hide stash, that's also free — sometimes you get a wild grain pattern nobody else has.

Step Three: The Build — One Pair of Hands, Saddle Stitch Only
I cut every hide by hand, checking each one before I commit. Most of my work uses full-grain vegetable-tanned leather or Horween Chromexcel. Veg-tan takes a patina fast and holds its shape; Chromexcel is oilier, softer, and shrugs off a drizzle better. For Vancouver, I lean Chromexcel for anything that lives in a jacket pocket.
Every seam is saddle-stitched — two needles, one thread, each stitch pulled tight by hand. That's not a defect — that's leather learning your body.

I don't keep pre-made inventory. Every commission starts from a blank hide. That means a shipped spec is never repeated for someone else — if I make a bifold in Horween Chromexcel with a specific dye lot, that exact combination is yours alone. The Raven mark on the piece is my signature, not a logo stamp applied to a production run.
This also means you can adjust things a factory can't. Want a card slot angled for your transit pass? Fine. Want a belt 2 inches wider at the buckle? Done. Want a crossbody with an internal pocket sized for a specific power bank? Send me the dimensions.

Leather Belt — from $95
1.25" or 1.5" width, solid brass buckle, 8-10 oz leather core that won't sag. I skive the tip to a clean taper and burnish the edges so it doesn't curl. Tell me your exact waist measurement and how you like to wear it — I'll account for the buckle hole placement.
Crossbody Bag — from $265
One main compartment, one internal zip pocket, an adjustable strap. Body is 5-6 oz leather, strap is 8-9 oz reinforced where it meets the hardware. This one takes the longest to build — expect a few days of stitching and edge work before it's ready.
What Happens After You Say Yes
I confirm the design, send a final quote, and start cutting. You'll hear from me if I hit a snag — a hide flaw, a hardware shortage, a thread color that doesn't match the dye. I won't ghost you. Once it's done, I send photos for approval before shipping or scheduling pickup.
